Overview
The village of Frosolone is immersed in the bucolic beauty of the central Apennines, on the Colle dell 'Orso plateau. Slight hills stretch out around the village, which for centuries have been a place of transhumance, a tradition that has left its traces in the area's gastronomic production, where excellent caciocavalli cheese is tasted, and in the handicrafts, since this area is known for its master knife-makers. Still today, in fine weather, cows graze in the meadows surrounding Frosolone and the atmospheres are those bucolic of the past. Those who love unspoiled nature should visit the Morgia Quadra cliff, with its wild rocks and ancient stalactites. An ideal place for horse trekking, climbing, walking and hang-gliding.
