TuliPark

Overview

Thousands of tulips to admire in Bologna

The flower in TuliPark in Bologna bloom from mid-March, welcoming visitors with a rainbow of multicoloured petals. This garden covers 30,000 square metres in the Navile district of this historical city in Northern Italy.

There are 450,000 tulips grown here from a total of 105 varieties, ranging from the classic tulip we all know and love to dwarf or lily-shaped tulips; in colours such as white and yellow, orange and red, alongside variegated specimens. The entrance fee only allows you to walk among the flowers, without picking them, but there are opportunities to create your own bouquets of various sizes.

The TuliPark in Bologna is a U-Pick garden, meaning visitors can enjoy picking the tulips themselves to create their own personal bouquet. At the entrance, a guide explains the correct way to pick the flowers using just your hands without uprooting the bulb. After that you can wander freely through the colourful rows with a basket and pick the flowers that catch your eye. Don’t forget to take some photos to look back on in the dark days of winter.
