From 16 to 21 June 2026, Lamezia Terme will host the fifteenth edition of the Trame Festival, the event dedicated to books on the Mafia, which, once again this year, will span six days packed with meetings, reflections and civic culture. Under the theme ‘Land and Freedom’, the festival, directed by Giovanni Tizian, will take place in iconic locations across the city, including the San Domenico Monumental Complex and Palazzo Nicotera-Severisio, the historical and cultural heart of the Piana di Sant’Eufemia.
At the heart of the programme is the relationship between mafias, local communities and freedom, explored through talks and discussions that encourage reflection on highly topical issues.
Over the course of the six days, the festival will provide a platform for writers, journalists, academics and activists to discuss new forms of mafia power, the defence of free enterprise, and the role of information in building a more informed collective conscience.
Alongside the literary events, Trame will offer performances, screenings, music and opportunities for public discussion, creating a wide-ranging programme that brings together different languages and perspectives. This is an opportunity to interpret the present through culture and to strengthen a collective awareness based on memory and civic engagement.
