La Thuile

Overview

Surrounded by dense forests and high mountains, La Thuile is located along the international road that connects the Aosta Valley to France through the Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo. It is an enchanted place, a treasure chest of scenic beauties - natural and rich in historical evidence.  La Thuile is a paradise for hiking, thanks to the variety of its trails and the magnificent landscapes that surround it. From the spectacular Ruitor Falls to Lake Verney, from the Youlaz valley to the Orgères valley, to the imposing Rutor Mountain.

Another highlight of La Thuile is the vast international alpine ski area, connected to La Rosière, France. One of the largest in the Western Alps with its 160 km of slopes. The cross-country skiers can also train here, skiing in the three rings of different difficulty, for a total of 11 km. For MTB enthusiasts, the vast International Bike Park guarantees a lot of adrenaline and fun on over 220 km of routes for all difficulties.

Discovering the Thuile means immersing yourself in the most uncontaminated nature, savoring the delicious typical dishes and reliving ancient traditions.
