Stintino

Overview

One of the most beautiful views of the Mediterranean

At the north-western tip of Sardinia, a few kilometres from Sassari, is one of the most beautiful coastlines in Europe. It is Pelosa beach, one of the symbolic places of the small town of Stintino, established as a fishing village and over the years becoming a reference point for thousands of tourists arriving from all over the world.

The territory of Stintino extends along the entire peninsula stretching towards Asinara. It is on the side facing the island that one can discover the natural wonder of the Pelosa: white sand, calm sea sheltered from the current, a clear, shallow seabed and the typical Sardinian vegetation to make it all the more impressive.

Scuba diving and snorkelling enthusiasts can indulge in Cala Grande, while those who aim to get to know the area better during their holiday can find many places of interest in Stintino. The Tonnara delle Saline museum accompanies visitors on a journey to discover the treasures of Stintino and Asinara.

Those in search of dream panoramas can count on the coastal towers scattered between Stintino and the island of Asinara: the 10-metre-high Pelosa Tower, the Saline Tower and the Falcone Tower, which can be reached by following a winding path from the end of Capo Falcone.
