Overview
Dolianova is the main town in Parteolla, a historic region in south-eastern Sardinia. Founded in 1905 from the unification of the old villages of San Pantaleo and Sicci San Biagio, the economy of Dolianova is underpinned by thriving agriculture: olive oil, table olives, CDO wines and pecorino cheese. The Church of St Pantaleon is a splendid building, constructed in three separate phases between the late 12th century and the end of the 13th. Attached to the Locci, one of the town's oil mills, the Sa mola de su notariu Olive Oil Museum contains an exhibition of tools, presses and documents illustrating the culture of olive growing.
