Japan: Body Perform Live 2022


At the PAC in Milan from November 22nd to February 12th the work of 17 artists will be exhibited, some for the first time in Milan. The exhibition Japan: Body Perform Live, which involves the artists and their bodies, offers an overview of Japanese contemporary art

A variety of works in creation since 2000, proposed in different forms of expression ranging from paintings to illustrations, from sculpture to photography as well as installations, video installations and live performances. Each of these highlights the Japanese social and political situation and reflect on more than just current issues but also themes such as identity, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, life and death. 

The featured artists are Makoto Aida, Dumb Type, Finger Pointing Worker/Kota Takeuchi, Mari Katayama, Meiro Koizumi, Yuko Mohri, Saburo Muraoka, Yoko Ono, Lieko Shiga, Chiharu Shiota, Kazuo Shiraga, Kishio Suga, Atsuko Tanaka, Yui Usui, Fuyuki Yamakawa, Ami Yamasaki, Chikako Yamashiro

Adding to the event, there will be workshops organized for adults and children, screenings and conferences as well as free weekly visits.
