Stragusto

Overview

A journey through the traditions, stories, flavors and atmospheres of Mediterranean street food and beyond. All this is Stragusto, the Street Food and Market Festival that rekindles the splendid Piazza Mercato del Pesce in Trapani, welcoming numerous producers.

The aim of “Stragusto”, an initiative organized by Trapani Welcome with the patronage of the Municipality of Trapani, is to recover and enhance the great heritage offered by street food producers, true artisans of taste, who pass down the culinary tradition of their area from generation to generation. Food, especially street food, is the expression and heritage of a community, it is history but also the evolution of habits and tastes, hence “Stragusto” was born, and it is in this context that diversity becomes wealth, in a perfect place for this event, like Sicily, which has welcomed numerous peoples and traditions for centuries.

The wine tasting area has been confirmed to savour the best wines of the area, guided by experts in the sector, in the splendid setting of the Mura di Tramontana, a stone's throw from the square, perhaps in front of one of the magical sunsets that Trapani can offer.
