'Madonna dei Fornelli'

Overview

Its name refers to the ancient furnaces traditionally used to make charcoal from wood and lime from stones, and to the devotion to Our Lady of the Snow, to whom the Sanctuary is dedicated. The building you see today dates back to the early 1900s and became a parish church and sanctuary in 1960. In the apse there is an oil painting on copper plate, depicting the Virgin with Child. The bell tower, 33 metres high with an octagonal spire, was completed in 1994.
