Overview
At an altitude of 1150 metres, the lake appears as a scenic artificial reservoir in the bottom of a wide basin of fields and meadows, in the middle of an amphitheatre of reliefs with a typical Silan morphology, covered by dense larch pine forests. Created in 1951 by damming the Mucone River with a 166-metre long and 55-metre wide dam, it is used to generate electricity and irrigate the numerous fields.
