Overview
The Kalabria Eco Fest (KEF) was born with a rebellious intent: to create a happy world, promoting authentic, sustainable and regenerative ways of being. Every year since 2021, it celebrates and enhances the ecological realities of Calabria and beyond, uniting those who, in their own territory, large or small, share the vision of a more respectful and conscious world.
The 5th Edition of KEF will be held from 17 to 20 July 2025 at the beech forest of Gigliara in Polia (VV) and it will become the beating heart of our green revolution.
Inspiring symposia, hands-on workshops, wellness experiences, music for the soul, a marketplace of local products and handicrafts, performances for young and old, and a cuisine that will make you fall in love with genuine flavours. The event offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a natural and free environment, participate in symposia on permaculture, land protection, natural agriculture, bio-construction, non-violent communication, education, solidarity economy, sustainable tourism and much more.
Shows, workshops and community moments have made KEF a reference point in Calabria and Italy for those seeking positive, natural and alternative experiences.
It is an eco-sustainable, low-impact festival for the modus operandi: reusable glasses, camping crockery to minimise disposability (especially plastic), bags for separate waste collection throughout the forest and water from the natural spring on site. The kitchen is supplied by local 0 km and organic producers. Promotion of car sharing to reduce the use of vehicles and encourage travel sharing.
