Nova Siri

Overview

Nova Siri lies in the heart of Magna Graecia, on the coast of the Ionian Sea, and the town is divided into two areas: Nova Siri Paese, perched on a hill, and Nova Siri Marina, which instead overlooks the Gulf of Taranto. Here, on the maritime side, the coast is sandy and rich in natural dunes, making it a perfect place for those seeking the enchantment of the sea and, at the same time, the tranquillity of an isolated, almost unspoilt nature. Also not to be missed, however, are the historical and cultural attractions, such as the Castle, which, with its strategic position, still recounts its past as a mediaeval and civil outpost, and the many archaeological sites to be found in and around the area, testifying to the richness and splendour of the ancient civilization that saw its origins here.
