Overview
From October 26 to December 21, 2025, Saboris Antigus returns — the festival that opens the doors of nine towns across the historic regions of Trexenta and Sarcidano. The event celebrates these territories’ long-standing vocation for wheat cultivation, which earned them the title of “the granary of Rome” during the imperial era. Each stop offers the opportunity to discover the excellence of the wheat supply chain and the rich local agri-food culture.
The theme of this twelfth edition is “The Flavors of Hospitality: Hands, Places, Faces” — an invitation to explore the human side of food and to meet the people who preserve its ancient recipes. Visitors can immerse themselves in a journey of authentic flavors, with tastings of locally sourced products, artisanal workshops, visits to archaeological and natural heritage sites, and encounters with renowned chefs.
A new feature for 2025 is the twinning with Dalmatia, the European Region of Gastronomy 2027 — a cultural bridge linking the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic Seas under the banner of sustainability and seasonality. It’s a journey through villages rich in history, each with its own identity, for an experience that combines taste, tradition, and discovery.
