La Celvia

Overview

A snorkelling paradise on the Costa Smeralda®

La Celvia is one of the most famous beaches on the Costa Smeralda®: a reputation that is well deserved. It is part of the municipality of Arzachena and consists of a long stretch of coarse-grained sand formed by pink granite dust and tiny shell fragments.

Counterbalancing the brightness of the beach is the crystal-clear sea that changes colour: it is emerald green near the shore and turns blue and then turquoise as you go out to sea, making it an exceptional place for snorkelling, given the large number of fish found there.

All around is rich, fragrant Mediterranean scrub, giving La Celvia the appearance of an earthly paradise.

La Celvia is also the starting point for discovering other natural beauties of Sardinia: a nice stroll will take you to Capriccioli, while if you go in the opposite direction, you will come to Elefante beach. Don't forget to visit Porto Cervo, with its colourful centre.
