Santa Lucia

Overview

The town of Siniscola, located near the eastern coast of Sardinia, reaches as far as the sea thanks to its hamlet Santa Lucia. Santa Lucia is now a beautiful seaside resort that bewitches visitors with its enchanting beaches and the green pine forest that protects the coast. But Santa Lucia is above all a village where the sea is intertwined with everyday life: founded as a fishing village, it still maintains all the activities linked to fishing and its beating heart is in the port, from where tourist boats, but above all fishing boats, depart every day. It seems that time has stood still, in some corners of the village: the gestures are the same as they have always been, the traditions are steeped in the power of the sea, and the voices sound like calls, coded messages to defy the waves, to ingratiate oneself with the tides.
