Norbello

Overview

Norbello is a small village with an agricultural and pastoral tradition that rises on the Abbasanta plateau: the valley that surrounds it has the warm, soft colours of the Mediterranean maquis and is dotted with specimens of some rare species of orchids, which embellish this landscape with their elegant shapes. The historical centre has the dark colour of the ancient basalt stone with which the old houses are built and which has been used, in recent years, to repave streets and squares, but it is brightened by the flowers that embellish the numerous small balconies. A village of traditional productions such as acquavite, almond sweets and cheese, its main festival is linked to food and wine: in fact, between September and October, the ancient grape harvest festival is held, where the stages of past harvests are re-enacte
