The Church of the Holy Trinity of Saccargia is considered one of the most famous medieval monuments on the island and is located on the rural plain of Saccargia. Its massive bell tower, easily spotted from afar, towers above the surrounding landscape. The importance of this church is amplified by its grandeur and the rare Romanesque frescoes adorning the apse, the only ones surviving in Sardinia.
