Trinitapoli

Immersed in a natural setting of great beauty, in Trinitapoli it is possible to visit an immense archaeological treasure. If in the historic centre the gaze sweeps over the small white houses, narrow alleys and precious architecture of its churches and sanctuaries, it is just outside the village that ancient history emerges with force and intensity. The Archaeological Park of the Hypogea of Trinitapoli is in fact a true open-air tale of the roots of that territory, with its two hundred burials, underground temples and rich grave goods. To hear the full tale, however, one must also immerse oneself in the Museo Civico and allow oneself to be taken on an itinerary back in time, amidst artefacts, stories and ancient treasures.
