Lago Maggiore Zipline

Overview

An adrenaline-pumping experience between the sky and the lake

There are almost two kilometres in a straight line separating Pian d’Arla, at 1,307 metres above sea level, from Alpe Segletta, at 960 metres, on Lake Maggiore. But this distance can be covered in just over a minute and a half, flying at over 120 kilometres per hour, firmly attached to a cable. All this, thanks to the Lago Maggiore Zipline, an adrenalin-pumping experience that, unlike hang-gliding and paragliding, requires no equipment or special training. Surrounded by the lush green Intrasca Valley, you can admire the views of the lake and experience the thrill of flying at high altitude attached to a steel cable.

And that’s not all! The arrival station is in Aurano, just 30 minutes from Verbania, where you can leave your car, register at the ticket office, take the shuttle and then land. Here you will find Il Nido, a modern facility designed as a mountain hub where you can go trekking, horse riding, mountain biking and rock climbing.

Tickets include special benefits for those age 18 and under, groups and over 65s. After being briefed by the operators, you receive a harness, helmet and wind goggles and are ready to take flight. The activity is suitable for everyone, including children, as long as they meet the minimum weight and height requirements, and people with disabilities.
