Overview
Pomponesco is a small village in the Mantuan countryside that welcomes you with its bucolic atmosphere and the colourful little houses in the historic centre, which look as if they have come straight out of a painting, so graceful are they. Here, life follows the tranquil rhythm of the countryside and nature is one of the elements that give the village its charm: the Garzaia nature reserve, the master embankment, and the cycle path that accompanies you along the banks of the Po among poplars and flights of egrets are all worth seeing. When we arrive in the village, we let ourselves be enchanted by the glimpses imbued with beauty of the ancient streets, the porticoes where courtiers and their families once lived, the small square that leads the eye towards the river. Infne, a small pearl not to be missed is the Teatro 900, a typical village theatre as there were many a century ago in this area, today a rarity to be protected and enhanced.
