Overview
In a building more than a hundred years old, there are two rooms: one in a maritime style, the other decorated with Faenza majolica. Simple cuisine with specialities in the traditional style, with mussels and 'pesce povero' playing the main role. Don't miss the mesciùa (a traditional La Spezia soup made from beans, chickpeas and wheat), spaghetti with anchovies, the mussels (stuffed or served with marinara sauce) and for dessert, the classic pandolce (sweetbread). Of course, your meal will be accompanied by a fine wine from the Cinque Terre, perhaps the prized Sciacchetrà. A special mention goes to the kitchen garden overlooking the seafront and the restaurant's own olive grove, where the restaurant sources its vegetables and extra-virgin olive oil.
