Monte Lussari

Overview

Panoramic balcony over the Alps

From its height of 1800 meters, Mount Lussari overlooks the point where the Carnic Alps meet the Julian Alps, land of border and, at the same time, of union between the Latin, Slavic and Germanic peoples. From such an altitude can only open an extraordinary panorama, which lets your gaze wander until you get lost in the imposing rock walls of Jof di Montasio, Jof Fuart and Mangart.

Mount Lussari is also a pilgrimage destination for its sanctuary, which is worth a visit and is easily accessible, thanks to the suggestive hiking trail of the Pilgrim's Path, whose departure is from the valley floor and whose itinerary retraces the side of the mountain, along the millenary forest of Tarvisio. The resort lends itself to sport in every season of the year, from trekking to skiing

Do not miss the local cuisine and traditional dishes, which can be enjoyed in the cozy inns, scattered along the streets of the highest village of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
