Overview
Have you ever had a thermal bath right in the sea? You can do all this in the Bay of Sorgente, Panza, a hamlet in the municipality of Forio, on the island of Ischia. It is a free, open-air thermal park, accessible throughout the year.
The Bay of Sorgeto, hidden in one of the most beautiful spots on the island, is a real pearl of nature, a crescent-shaped cove embraced by vertical rocky walls and only accessible by climbing down 200 steps. Here, cold and warm water merge with fresh and salt water, giving bathers a truly unique experience. Next to the sea, there are natural pools marked out by stones, some of which, if rubbed, form a muddy substance beneficial for the skin.
Thanks to the water temperatures - which reach 37 degrees - you can even swim in the coldest months. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you could try a moonlight swim, or a cocktail in the water from the restaurant overlooking the bay.
