Overview
Rocca di Botte stands in a place protected by mountains, on the northern slope of Mount La Corte. The nature that surrounds the village is made even more beautiful by the tranquillity that pervades the atmosphere, as if the silence and peace made the leaves of the trees sparkle, the sky bluer. In the heart of the hamlet, however, is a church of great charm, the Church of Santa Maria della Febbre, where valuable frescoes dating back to the 15th century are preserved: its name is said to be linked to the plague epidemics that occurred at the time of its foundation and it was in fact also used as a hospital. Finally, special are the traditional flavours: in particular, the most characteristic product is red garlic, rich in essential oils and with great benefits for the body.
