Overview
Perched on a rocky spur of Mount Putano, straddling the Marsican, Peligno and Aquilano territories, rises Castelvecchio Subequo, a tiny village but one of great artistic, historical and cultural wealth.
Strolling through the village and its surroundings, in fact, it is easy to come across buildings of architectural and cultural value, and important archaeological sites: Castelvecchio, for example, preserves the archaeological heritage of ancient Superaequum, one of the three most important cities of the Pelignians.
