Archi

Overview

Archi is also known as the 'Terrace on the Sangro': the village stands on a rocky spur and from there the view overlooks both the Aventino Valley and the Sangro Valley.

Its climate, fertile land, the patience of the farmers, all this has allowed the village to become a great centre for the production of extra virgin olive oil, so much so that it has been included in the Oil Itineraries.

A place that attracts lovers of sport fishing, which can be practised in the many lakes in its territory, it has an ancient history: traces of this past can be read in the archaeological site of Fonte Tasca, an ancient fortified settlement dating back to the Bronze Age, and in the remains of the Medieval Castle, which towers over the village with its walls and keep.

Archi is a place to discover, a place of authentic beauty.
