Cala Moresca Beach

Overview

Sea and unspoilt nature

Approximately 2 kilometres from the town centre of Golfo Aranci lies the small inlet of Cala Moresca, an impressive bay of small dimensions that extends within the protected area of the Capo Figari promontory, in Gallura.

The golden-coloured expanses of sand on the beaches of Cala Moresca create a beautiful chromatic contrast with the emerald colour of the sea and are interspersed with rocks rising to the surface of the water. The bay has a high naturalistic value: it is surrounded by a pine forest, which provides ideal shelter during the hottest hours of the day, and by dense Mediterranean scrub.

The nearby accommodation facilities allow you to organise excursions by boat and by land, including one that takes you along paths through the pine forest to an industrial archaeology site. You will come across the remains of an ancient lime kiln, evidence of intensive mining activity since the Middle Ages.

Once a mooring for fishermen, today Cala Moresca is the ideal destination for a relaxing seaside holiday amidst unspoilt nature.
