Piscinas

Overview

The wonders of the Costa Verde

Located along the Costa Verde, on Sardinia's western seaboard, Piscinas beach is a little corner of paradise that offers a truly magical experience. Located far from any other urban centre, this town is famous for being a small desert, with two large dunes of golden sand that rise to sixty metres in height and reach the Mediterranean Sea. The Saharan-style sand has earned it the title of one of the world's most beautiful beaches, awarded by the National Geographic Society. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crystal-clear waters, wind and climate here offer the perfect conditions for a variety of water sports, from windsurfing to kitesurfing. It's not unusual to spot sea turtles laying their eggs on the shore - and if you are really lucky, you might even spot the rare Sardinian deer.
