Overview
The town of Montemarciano has a predominantly hilly terrain, overlooking the sea and from which one can admire the view of the Gulf of Ancona, the Conero profile and the Apennines. The town's seafaring heart emerges, however, above all in its hamlet of Marina, whose history was certainly Roman, as witnessed by recent discoveries that have brought to light its past roots. Along State Road 16 you can also admire the Mandracchio, a structure that dates back to the 15th century and is what remains of the ancient post and horse exchange station.
