Bergamo Railway Station

Overview

A strategic location for exploring the area

Used by travellers, commuters and locals, Stazione Ferroviaria di Bergamo is the main railway station in Bergamo. From here, numerous trains depart daily connecting the city to the whole of northern Italy. This is the terminus for the lines coming from Lecco, Brescia, Treviglio and Seregno.

Located in the lower part of the city, Bergamo Railway Station features seven active tracks and two main lines, as well as six tracks dedicated to freight transport. The station is entirely above ground and has good connections to the rest of the city thanks to an efficient bus service.

Moreover, its strategic location makes it the ideal starting point to reach different areas of this regional capital. It takes less than 10 minutes to reach the characteristic Upper Town on the funicular railway, while a few minutes’ walk will take you to the centre of the Lower Town
