Cervo

Overview

Cervo is a small pearl between the hills and the sea, with its graceful beaches and its centre with ancient and precious architecture. Strolling here, it is wonderful to stop in the small Corallini square overlooking the sea, to wander through the narrow alleys, to lose oneself in the details of the arches and the views that unite the blue of the sea and the green of the woods surrounding the small village like an embrace of nature and silence. The heart of the village is the Chiesa dei Corallini, built between the 17th and 18th centuries thanks to the proceeds from the fishing companies that fished for coral in the seas of Corsica and Sardinia. It is a village that intertwines sea and culture, Cervo, and that every year between July and August enchants travellers with its International Chamber Music Festival, in which the most important artists in Europe perform in evocative open-air concerts, among the stars and the lapping of the waves.
