Marco Simone Golf & Country Club

Overview

In 1970, Laura Biagiotti and Gianni Cigna decided to buy Marco Simone Castle and renovate it.

The work that engaged Laura and her husband Gianni Cigna was truly remarkable, as Marco Simone Castle is a national monument and the restoration was carried out in cooperation with the Department of Fine Arts.

The idea for the Golf Club was born in 1989 when Laura Biagiotti decided to design and build the 18-hole competition course plus 9 executive holes.

On 14 December 2015, Ryder Cup Europe announced that the Ryder Cup 2023 would take place in Italy at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club.

For the first time, Italy will host the world's most important golf event and the third most important sporting event in the world in terms of media coverage after the Summer Olympics and the World Cup.

To host this major event, the golf course had to be completely redesigned.

Golfers and golf enthusiasts can access Marco Simone Golf & Country Club with daily rates or long-term subscriptions.

The Driving Range is spread over a valley of more than 2 hectares. It has three large terraces that offer the chance to practice on grass all year round. The length makes it completely safe to play from both ends and offers the opportunity to reserve areas for Golf Clinics and private events.
