Overview
The Scientific Imaginary in Trieste is an interactive and experimental science museum: located in the atmospheric Magazzino 26, in the city's Porto Vecchio, it allows people to approach science in a spontaneous, direct, informal and fun way.
The approach underlying the exhibition is in fact a hands-onone, inviting visitors to put their hands directly on the exhibits to build their own personal experience and to discover, marvel at, reason about and understand some of the most interesting phenomena and concepts of science, such as electromagnetism, motion and fluids, light and shadow, sound, mirrors and optical illusions.
The museum also has a section dedicated to Trieste's prestigious research institutes, and an area dedicated to applied science.
