Near Casa Tanzi, an ancient stately home in the fortified village of Vigoleno, there is the Orsanti Museum, which contains evidence of these travelling musicians and animal handlers. The village of Vigoleno is recognised as one of the most important historical monuments in the province of Piacenza, so much so that it was awarded the certification of one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" in 2002. Vigoleno therefore, joins a selection of tourist destinations that have preserved their evidence of an extraordinary era over the centuries.
