A protected area near to the sea

The protected area of Pineta di Cervia is rich in fauna and flora that are sure to make your visit to this fascinating place, near Cervia and Milano Marittima, truly unforgettable.

Stone pine and maritime pine trees grow here, alongside locust trees, poplar, oak, juniper and holm oak. Green areas alternate with sandy areas, dunes and marsh areas, where you can find Ravenna grass and various species of wild orchid. It is populated by many birds, while in the wetlands you can observe tree frogs and tortoises.

The pine forest is criss-crossed by 32 trails that you can explore on foot or horseback or by bicycle. You can also canoe along the waterways that connect the nearby salt pans and the sea. Just a short walk away is the beach, where you will find the perfect spot for a picnic immersed in nature. You will also find two running trails and an educational farm for children.

La Pineta sits behind Milano Marittima, a lively summer seaside resort offering plenty of leisure activities, such as CerviAvventura, an amusement park featuring adventure trails, Tyrolean bridges and ziplines between the trees.
