The Videogame Art Museum in Bologna
Managed by the Associazione Insert Coin, the Videogame Art Museum takes a look back at the culture of video games and explains the technological progress of video games from the 1970s, ‘80s and ‘90s up to the present day.
The museum exhibits video games, consoles, computers and related prototypes, along with descriptive panels, videos, fun facts, and historical showcases. The museum is also home to a 'free to play' area where you can play historical video games on original consoles for free. There is also a cinema room where you can watch clips about the history of video games, and several events spaces where theme-based initiatives are organized for amateur, educational, and artistic purposes.
