Acerno

Overview

Discovering the Monti Picentini Regional Park

Green spaces, fresh water, clean, crisp air. Acerno is a charming village, just 40 kilometres from Salerno. The ideal place to seek refuge during an escape from the city, to experience a few hours, or a few days, in perfect harmony with nature.

The village, situated on a plain 740 metres above sea level, lies in the heart of the Picentini Mountains Regional Park and is the ideal starting point for exploring the park and its many attractions. Accompanied by expert guides, you can explore splendid examples of karst, such as the Scalandrone Cave, the Strazzatrippa Cave and the Cave of Angels.

Around the shores of Lake Laceno, you can try your hand at horseriding at the Piccolo Ranch or explore the area by mountain bike along the trails of the Laceno Bike Park. If you are with children, there are fun areas at Lacenolandia.

Was the hike taxing? Time for some well-deserved relaxation and lunch surrounded by nature at the Area Pic Nic Torchia, Cerrus Il Parco della Quercia or Piana del Dragone.
