Overview
The Orsini Castle was built by Virginio Orsini in 1490. Later, it was the Colonna family who carried out the remodelling and elevation. Two original towers, some sections of the walls and a portal commemorating the Battle of Lepanto (Glory of Colonna), flanked by two bears symbolising the Orsini family, survived the 1915 earthquake. Currently, the rooms are used for exhibitions.
