San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel

Overview

A luxury hotel in Taormina

An old Dominican convent founded in 1374 in the heart of Taormina, the San Domenico Palace is now a luxury Four Seasons hotel. In the late 19th century, the structure underwent major restoration and extension work that not only definitively sanctioned its transition from ecclesiastical building to hotel, but also gave the complex its characteristic Art Nouveau style.

The San Domenico Palace offers numerous services. Alongside massages and facial and body treatments inspired by local therapeutic traditions, a variety of culinary experiences are available, including the “Safari under the Stars”, where astronomy and cuisine coexist during a magical evening, and “Eat the Volcano”, in which the tasting of typical products is accompanied by a visit to Mount Etna.

From the pool on the cliff, you can enjoy magnificent views of the Ionian Sea, which is particularly enchanting at sunset. Also highly recommended is a visit to the city of Taormina, an ideal place to lose yourself among historical, artistic and cultural monuments, such as the ancient Greek theatre.
