Collinas

Overview

Collinas is a small village in the Marmilla region, surrounded by cultivations of cereals, vines and holm oaks. Around the village, the precious Nuragic architecture recounts the most ancient times and the populations that settled here attracted by the fertility of the soil and the beauty of the place: the remains of the Concali nuraghe, located on the mountain of the same name, the nuraghe of Genn'e Maria and the tomb of the giants of Sedda sa Caudeba are still visible today. Outside the historical centre, as you stroll to discover this beautiful area, you will come across the church of Santa Maria Angiargia, located near the Su Angiu sacred well and the ancient Roman baths, a church full of charm and with an atmosphere of intense spirituality. But Collinas is above all the Land of Cribs: every year in December, several cribs are created by the skilful inhabitants of the village, making the Christmas atmosphere even more magical.
