Tiggiano

Overview

Tiggiano, a small town on the Adriatic side of Salento, is a tiny ancient village and its essence has the scent of the herbs and plants that cover its beautiful territory with greenery. In the centre of the village, the eyes of those who pass through it are enchanted as they gaze at the Church of Sant'Ippazio, the Chapel of the Assunta and Palazzo Serafini: here, in the beautiful garden of the palace, one can admire pines, oaks, holm oaks and fragrant thyme, sage, mint and rosemary bushes, a beautiful seven thousand square metres of nature in the heart of the village. And, just outside, nature continues to be the protagonist, with the Costa di Otranto - Santa Maria di Leuca - Bosco di Tricase Regional Nature Park, where - amidst holm-oak forests and dry-stone walls - you can breathe in the perfumed air that smells of both forest and sea.
