Overview
A seaside town overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Fasano has an historic centre that welcomes visitors with its narrow, characteristic streets, white houses, arches and small squares. Fasano's life has always been intertwined with the sea and today its maritime landscape is enhanced and protected: a Blue Flag since 2011, its beaches alternate low cliffs with long, soft sandy stretches and nature is the real protagonist in this place where sea means authenticity. Part of the town is Torre Canne, immersed in the Dune Costiere Natural Park from Torre Canne to Torre San Leonardo and characterised by what has become its symbol: the lighthouse that intermittently illuminates the coast, a signal for sailors, a metaphor for a safe harbour after long journeys at the mercy of the waves.
