In the heart of the most authentic Salento, a village with such a strong agricultural vocation as to be called the 'Granary of Terra d'Otranto', Campi Salentina boasts a centre rich in monuments and historical residences that create an evocative scenic effect. The Mother Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie dominates the central square on which the collegiate church with the effigy of the Virgin and Child also stands out. The tour of the old town centre continues among the 'curti', the numerous small churches and the palaces of Bari, Calabrese, Catarozzolo, Maddalo, Magi, Occhineri and the Paladini - Enriquez marquis residence. Casa Prato, which houses the municipality's Historical Archives and the Municipal Library, is one of the most striking palazzi. The hinterland is embellished by archaeological and rural testimonies such as the Candido and Sperti menhirs.
