The huge ski area in Piedmont
The international Vialattea ski area is the second-largest ski resort in Europe. Its expansive, modern and functional facility is able to meet the needs of all visitors, from beginners to experts. It offers no fewer than 400 kilometres of slopes, most of them covered by artificial snow, connected by 78 ski lifts, at an altitude of up to 2,800 metres.
The area extends from Sauze d’Oulx to the French commune of Montgenèvre and covers seven localities in Piedmont belonging to the Alta Val Susa and Val Chisone ski areas: Oulx, Cesana, Claviere, San Sicario, Sauze d’Oulx, Sestiere and Pragelato.
Snowboarding, ski-cross and two modern snow parks add to the already diverse offer of Vialattea.
The summit of Monte Motta, the highest point, offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, giving skiers the opportunity to savour the scale and beauty of the entire area, featuring vast spaces, expanses of sun-kissed snow and panoramic slopes on which characteristic mountain hut villages alternate with modern villages, equipped with all kinds of comforts and entertainment.
The youngest visitors can also have fun in total safety at the many Baby Fun Parks dotted throughout the area.
