Pievebovigliana

Overview

Pievebovigliana, which became part of the municipality of Valfornace on 1 January 2017, lies partly in the territory of the Monti Sibillini National Park. The heart of the village, which guards the local history and the roots of its people, is the Historical Museum of the Territory, which includes the 'Valerio Cianfarani' Archaeological Museum, the 'Raffaele Campelli' Civic Museum, the Historical Museum of the Territory, the Collection of woodcuts by Maria Ciccotti and the Gino Marotta Collection, located inside the Council Chamber, where the fortepiano that belonged to the great Marche composer Filippo Marchetti is also located. More than just a museum, this is a treasure chest that holds the identity of a land, a precious casket of great human and social value.
