Overview
The origins of this church, restored in the year 2000, can be traced back to the 15th century, however, its current structure is the result of a readaptation carried out in 1729. Attached to this church is a convent administered by the Augustinian Fathers.
Inside the church, you can admire a series of works of art of various kinds: an oil painting on canvas depicting a Madonna with Child and Saints, by Giuseppe Ghezzi (1634-1721), a centred canvas depicting the Madonna of the Belt, an oil painting from the year 1780, by Nicola Monti from Ascoli, a crib painted in oil on a centred canvas, another work by the School of Maratta, a polychrome crucifix from the 14th century, by an unknown author, a reliquary of St John the Baptist from the Florentine school, in silver, dating back to the 14th century.
