Morricone Night in Ancona

Overview

"Notte Morricone" (Morricone Night) is more than a dance performance: it is a journey into the creative universe of one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. To the notes of his famous soundtracks, Aterballetto and Marcos Morau build a tribute that is both intimate and universal. The stage becomes the room of an artist immersed in thought, surrounded by sheets of paper, memories, and melodies.

The audience is invited to peer into the mind of a genius who, in the stillness of the night, recalls films, emotions, and stories that have shaped entire generations. Morricone’s music does not merely accompany cinematic images—it is the narrative itself, pure emotion capable of revealing what words cannot express. The performance thus becomes a hymn to beauty, an act of gratitude toward an artist who managed to unite high and popular culture, transforming himself into a timeless icon.

Seeing Notte Morricone at the Teatro delle Muse in Ancona (on January 3rd) means enjoying an immersive experience where dance meets the city’s history and culture. Before the show, one can stroll through the historic center, exploring Piazza del Plebiscito, the old port, and the Arch of Trajan, or climb up to San Ciriaco Cathedral to admire the sea view. After the performance, the evening can end by tasting traditional Marchigian dishes in the city’s local restaurants—turning the event into a small cultural and gastronomic getaway.
