Overview
Set on the banks of an artificially created lake to which it lends its name, Isola is a small hamlet of the municipality of Madesimo in the province of Sondrio.
A handful of houses located around the 15th-century church of Santi Giorgio e Martino, this is the village of Isola: an enchanted hamlet that appears to be painted on a picture from another era. A small chapel houses a wooden statue of the Madonna that reveals the artistic skill of the master carvers of these places.
