Gallarati Scotti Castle

Overview

A 14th century castle overlooks the small village of Cozzo, in the heart of Lomellina. Perfectly preserved, it has had several owners: it was owned by the Gallarati counts, feudal lords first of the Sforza, later the French and then the Spanish viceroyalty. A visit to Gallarati Scotti Castle, recently restored, is an opportunity to learn more about this area. Please allow plenty of time to visit it (advance booking required). Each of its rooms is more interesting than the last: from the room dedicated to the Lomellina ecosystem to the one with miniatures of castles, from the king's room to the map room, from the consortium room (dedicated to the theme of water for the common good) to the ancient Roman road, which here symbolises the direction that each of us can take by treasuring the knowledge and traditions of our ancestors. This will be a very interesting and enjoyable two hours for everyone, including the little ones.
