Milan Marathon 2023

Overview

Sunday 2nd April 2023 marks the return of the Milan Marathon, one of the most popular in Italy, with over 20,000 runners, and among the fastest internationally (the fastest in the world in 2021).

The ring-shaped race route starts from the Indro Montanelli Garden, in the heart of the city. Every year, it is perfected to offer a complete route that meets the needs of all runners and offers the opportunity to run through the most beautiful places in the city, both ancient and modern, passing through Piazza Duomo, the Sforzesco Castle and City Life, Portello, the Hippodrome, the Meazza stadium and the Trenno Park.

Back this year are the Relay Marathon and the Levissima School Marathon, a race dedicated to primary and secondary school students accompanied by parents, teachers and family members. Organised by several associations, it is a non-competitive run of about 3 kilometres. In the last edition in 2022, more than 8,000 children together with their guardians took part in the race through the streets of the City Life Park and the Marathon Village.

It is an event that successfully brings together people from all walks of life, from sports enthusiasts to experienced runners.
